I've chanced upon this today, with its roots deeply ingrained in philosophy and psychology.
A man formulates a theory. It is made by himself.
He knows that if he believes it, his life will be more tranquil.
He reasons thus:
"It's a pity I can't believe it.
I see its unfounded and baseless.
If I did not see the fallicies and thought that it
was a trus doctrine, I would lead a happier life.
If only I could believe in it."
So he does. He believes with a blind faith.
It takes the aspects of religion to me, for religion is nothing but a blind, unreasoning faith.
